Credit Card to Bank Transfer Charges, Explained Simply

Last updated: · By C2C Enterprises

Credit card to bank transfer charges come from two places: the service you use, and your own card issuer. Many people only look at the first and get surprised later.

People also call these credit card to cash charges. This guide shows how to work out the full cost, with simple examples.

Part 1: Our service charge

Our charges start from 2.2% of the card amount. They are not fixed: the final charge depends on the bank and card. The minimum transaction is ₹10,000. Before we process anything, we tell you:

  • The amount that will be charged to your card.
  • Our charge in rupees.
  • The exact amount that will reach your bank account.

You approve only when you are happy with all three numbers.

Worked examples at 2.2%

These examples assume the charge comes out of the card amount.

Card amountChargeYou receive
₹10,000₹220₹9,780
₹20,000₹440₹19,560
₹50,000₹1,100₹48,900
₹75,000₹1,650₹73,350
₹2,00,000₹4,400₹1,95,600

Working backwards

If you need a set amount in your account, divide by 0.978. To receive ₹30,000, the card amount would be about ₹30,675 at 2.2%. We will confirm the exact figure at the counter.

Part 2: Your card issuer's costs

These are separate from our charge, and they depend on your bank:

  • Interest. If you pay the full bill by the due date, many cards charge no interest on purchases. If you carry a balance, interest is charged, often at a high monthly rate.
  • Late payment fee. Charged if you miss the minimum due.
  • Cash advance terms. If your bank treats the payment as a cash advance, fees and immediate interest may apply.
  • Taxes on bank fees. Banks add applicable taxes on their own fees and interest.

Look at your card's "Most Important Terms and Conditions" for the exact numbers.

Putting it together: an example

You move ₹50,000 and pay your card bill in full on the due date. Your total cost is our charge of ₹1,100 plus nothing from the bank if your card treats it as a normal purchase.

Now say you pay only the minimum due and carry ₹45,000 for two months. Card interest on that balance can easily add more than our charge. That is why on-time repayment matters most.

Comparing with other options

  • Personal loan: processing fee plus monthly interest, cheaper for long periods.
  • Our office: from 2.2%, shown upfront, with your card's normal terms after that.

For other ways to bridge a short gap, read things to know before using your card limit.

Watch out for

  • Offers that seem far cheaper than everyone else's. Ask what happens to the rest of the money.
  • Anyone asking for your OTP, PIN or CVV.
  • Any service that will send money to a third party's account.
